1st tooth

My baby is growing up :(

Owen has broke his first tooth this week. I noticed it yesterday. It's crazy really. He is such a fun little boy and it makes me sad to think in 10 plus years he won't want any more kisses from mom. He will be to cool and to big to hang with me all day.

Any how...... I tried to take a picture but he won't sit still long enough and he tries to lick my finger every time I try and pull his bottom lip down. I'll keep trying and see what I can get.

Small little mile stones happen so often their first year of life it's amazing. They are so cute, so sweet, and so Innocent. It breaks my heart how quickly time does go bye but for now I am going to try my hardest to live in the moment and cherish every one of them.

Jackman Family Reunion

Well, this weekend we had yet another fun family reunion. This was my mom's side of the family, the Jackman's (yes I am related to Hugh Jackman, hubba-hubba, J/K!). We have at least three reunions a year but honestly I really do enjoy going to them and being with the fam!

Any how. Our cousin's (the Ashton's) own some property up Provo Canyon and they have a nice big red barn were we hold some of the events. They have some amazing property with a huge water slide, adult zip-line over the water, kid's zip-line on the grass, a big play ground (slide, swing's, climbing wall, you name it) for the kids to play on, paddle boats, tennis, etc. Everyone drives up for the weekend to play and camp out.

We had a fun time yet again! We are so lucky to have such wonderful family. Faith absolutely loved the big water slide. She is my little fish and loves water. When we got home from the reunion this weekend, Saturday at 5:30 PM, Lindsay then took Faith the our neighborhood family fun night at "Surf-n-Swim". He came home and said she loved the big waves and playing on the tube. She is such a QT!

The Bott Girls

For those of you who don't know my Madden name it is "Bott". Today at my sister's home (Vicki), we had a Bott Girls Party. It was a blast!

We had tons of delicious food, lots of laughs, and played a great gift exchange game (there was only a few heated moments with everyone taking each other's gifts but we all ended up happy and seriously scored).

Each year we have decided to have two "girls" parties just like this one. We eat lots of food and have one big therapy session. It was wonderful!

Thanks for all your hard work Vicki and to all those who came. I love you all and can't wait until the next one.

Little Man No More

Owen is growing SO FAST! He changes so much from month to month. And around our home Owen is no longer the "little brother", he is defiantly the "BIG" brother :). He rolled over for the first time on Sunday, June 22nd. I so so proud of him. They are always changing and growing. Some times I wish time could just stand still for a bit and they could forever be small.



I have loved seeing my little one's start to recognize and play with one another. Owen loves to watch Faith from his bouncer or when he is laying on the bed. He will see he running, jumping, or singing and he just watches her closely and smiles all the while. It really is so cute how he knows it is her. Every day when it's nap time for Faith she will always say "book" and "beankie" (meaning blanket), this means she wants to go lay down. Then she will say "Owie" because she loves to have him come and lay on her floor in her room next to us while we sit and read a book before nap. She loves having him come along for everything, it's cute (of course).

Let's Party!

We had a small "personal" bridal shower for my older sister Sonia. We had some of her close friends over to our house to celebrate with her the excitement. We had a fabulous time and Sonia received a lot of wonderful and fun thing's. Thank you everyone! Congratulations again Sonie!

Play-doe

Faith loves her play-doe. She wants to carry it around the house and never let go. It's funny actually. She tries to stuff it in her pockets and has a fit when I put it away for the day. She doesn't understand that she can get it out again later and play. She loves to squish and play.

My Grandpa:
Ralph M Bott 1919 ~ 2008 BOUNTIFUL- Ralph M Bott, 88, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by family and loved ones, on Saturday, July 5, 2008. Ralph was born September 19, 1919 in Brigham City, Utah. His parents were Joseph Jensen and Florence Wright Bott. He graduated from Pocatello High School, and then enlisted in the United States Army, to serve his country during World War II. He was stationed for 39 months in the remote Dutch Harbor base in Alaska, and was involved in the conflicts known as the "Bloody Aleutians". Ralph was married to his eternal companion, Ruth Leone Poole, during the war on September 10, 1942. They were later sealed together in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 17, 1944. Ruth was Ralph's loving and devoted sweetheart for 53 years and then she passed away in December of 1995. Ralph later married Winifred Jensen Davidson, for time in the Bountiful Temple, April 14, 1999. She has spent nine years with Ralph as his devoted companion, caring lovingly for him during his recent illness. Wini survives him and cherishes the time they had together. Ralph was a great father, grandfather, husband and friend, who cared deeply for everyone that he knew. A more generous man is hard to find, and that was the example he was to his family and friends. As a father, he loved to hunt and fish with his boys, and spend time with his family at their Star Valley cabin in Wyoming. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served with dedication in many callings during his lifetime. He established The Bountiful Memorial Art Company in 1952, where all of his sons worked closely with him, and learned from him. Ralph is survived by his four sons, Dennis (Martha), Robert, David, and Roger (Diane); 22 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Wanda Cottam. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, his beloved wife, Ruth and two special daughters-in-law, Jan and Kris. A special thanks goes to those who provided Ralph with hospice care. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the Bountiful 11th Ward Chapel, 115 Wicker Lane, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Wed. morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. We love you so much Grandpa and will miss you even more but we know you are with Grandma now and all those wonderful people who have gone before you. I'm sure the reunion was wonderful and your happy, healthy, and smiling once again.

The 4th of July

We didn't do much this 4th of July. My husband had to work long hours all week and he even worked on the 4th until 6 PM. Because he started his own contracting business just over a year ago he is putting in some long hours. There are slow times when he is home a lot for a week or so but then when he does have the work he is gone and doing what he can. This was one of those weeks (it pays the bill's).

The night of the 4th my husband's family had a BBQ up at his brother's home in Centerville, UT. We met at 6 PM and the food was fabulous! Everyone did a wonderful job. We celebrated all the July birthday's and some of the wild hoodlum boys did some small fireworks. It was fun relaxing and being with the family. Faith is still so young that missing the parade and a big shi-bang this year really won't matter much in the long skeem of thing's. It's to hot to sit on a street curb with baby Owen this year. We figured next year will be a bigger event for us.

Bumbo!

Owen got a new chair last week and he seems to dig it. When we tried it out for the first time he looked around with a grin on his face as if to say "look at me, I'm sitting up like a big boy and can see everything around me".

I was a little sceptical about the chair at first. I wonder how long he will really use it and if it is worth it. I wasn't sure if I should be putting Owen in it if he can't sit on his own yet (although the purpose of the chair is for babies who can support their head to sit up in until they can sit on their own). I just thought when he is ready to sit he will. He sits in it and likes it but not for long. He cries to get out after about 10 minutes. Maybe he will get more and more use to it and spend more time in it. He LOVES his bouncer and will hang in it for hours some times.

The "Bumbo" chair will be good, I can sit him outside on the grass with his try and toy's to play, you can take it to the beach in the sand, easy to take with you, soft and supportive. You just can't leave it on high places because babies will fall and eventually learn to get out of it. They say not to use it in the tube as well in-case the baby gets out (who would leave their baby unattended in the tube anyhow, jeeper's).

All-in-all it seems to be a cute and fun little chair for him. He is such a babe!!

License Expired

I can't believe it's time to renew my license already. I have gone four months not realizing that my license expired back in February, duh! It seems as if I just went in and received the license I have. I can't believe how old I am going.

The adoption agency I work for (For Every Child) called me yesterday to let me know that the state sent back my papers for my background check because my license is expired. I said "what the heck, it is not". I went to my wallet to look at it and what do you know. IT IS!!!!!!!!!!! ugh! Because the agency I work for has recently split off from another company and we are now operating under a new name we had to submit new resumes and the state has to do background checks on all of us.

Well looks like I have to drive to the license division tomorrow and renew my license. It couldn't have come at a better time, I still look like a cow from having Owen. Oh well, life goes on. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday To My Man!

Yesterday (July 2nd), was my wonderful husband's birthday. He turned 32 years old. WOW, how time fly's! It is so crazy to think that we have known each other for over 15 years now and have been married going on 11 years this November. It has been an amazing 11 years and we have two adorable children.

I just wanted to tell my husband that I love him very much. He is the best husband, lover, friend, and father a girl could have. We have been through a lot together and I wouldn't have wanted to share my life or to have gone through it all with any one else. He is my soul-mate and he is the best guy in the world. He works SO hard for his little family and we are very proud of him. He is so gracious and loving to all.

Thank you for all you do Lindsay, Dad, Husband. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!
