SLC Tracy Aviary

Took the kids to Salt Lake to see all the birds! They were doing some construction (hopefully adding more). It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be but none the less we were educated and had fun. Owen was really tired towards the end though and HOT (as you can tell in some pictures). Lea on the other hand loved the birds and when ever I talk about them or whistle like a bird she grins from ear to ear and some times even throws her little head back and laughs. So funny!

We are having a GREAT summer!

America the Beautiful!

July fourth weekend went off with a bang!

On Friday. July 1st. I went to get a pedicure and have lunch with a close friend. Then we went on a family hike, dinner and rented some movies. July 2nd was Lindsay's birthday. Kids went swimming, then we all went to see the movie "Car's 2" and Lindsay and I then went on a "hot" date that night. July 4th we went to the Kaysville parade (not recommended), to a BBQ at my Uncle Dave and Aunt Mary's house and then watched fireworks at their home that night as well. Then again on July 9th we went to the Farmington parade (this one was good) and to the Farmington fair. We had a wonderful week!

Hard letting go.....

Meet "baby Faith". Faith's aunt Beckie Openshaw gave her this adorable doll when we brought Faith home from Taiwan oat 6 months old. It has been her favorite doll since. The poor thing is now on it's last leg ;)
Because Faith and Owen went to swimming every day and got in the pool we told them they could choose one toy. This was mostly for Owen because he was so afraid.
Owen chose a "Mac" truck from the movie "Car's" and Faith got a new "baby Faith" doll. Although she was thrilled to receive her new one it was hard to say goodbye to so many memories. Owen and Faith both gave the old doll a hug before we discontinued it.
Took the pictures for the memories :)

Swimming Lessons

Some of these pictures are priceless. Someday Owen will love looking at these. We started swimming lessons and for the first three days Owen wanted nothing to do with it. Funny thing is he would keep going back and would cry while walking to the pool and getting in. Thank goodness he would still get in. By day four he got in with no cry's and on day five he was jumping off the diving board! YAY!!!!!! So worth the money :)

Tractor Fun!

Our little Owen LOVES big machines and especially tractors. Our good friend Katie took these pictures while the kids were playing on the Robert's farm in WY. So cute!

Lea's Blessing!

Lea was blessed at our church on June 26th, 2011 It was a very special day for all of us. Her Father gave her the blessing and those in the circle were, Roger Bott, Jim Workman, Jason Bott, and Keith White (our home teacher and friend). It was a small little gathering this time with Bryan and Vicki in Ohio, Joey and Emilie in Enterprise, Jeff and Sonia riding in the MS bike race from Logan to Bountiful, most of Lindsay's family busy and out of town as well. None the less it was still just as special and her dad gave a WONDERFUL blessing that was so sweet and fitting, he did a great job!

We had a nice lunch after the meeting at our home. The food was DELICIOUS!!!!!

Father's Day!

This Father's Day Lindsay only asked for one thing, so he got it!

We love dad! He is the best in the world! The kids just adore him and look up to him. Every day they ask "when will daddy be home?" and they are so excited to see him. Owen LOVES to jump on his dad and play "put up your dukes" with him. Faith loves to just have some cuddle time with him. He is such a hard working, honest, loving, person. He is my best friend and lover. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY BABE!!!!
