Cute family,birds, and nails.....What a combo

So because Faith was wearing a hat for the day Owen decided he needed one too.

The prettiest little girl in the whole-wide-world!

We have a little bird family who seems to be living under Faith's bedroom window out side. They fly out and sit in our lil tree and then go back under. The kids think it is the funnest thing and will watch them out the window for hours.

Cousin Ethney Mangum and little Faith, Christmas Toes (so they say)

Sneaky.....

They think they are so sneaky and so funny, NOT! It has been a bit of a challenge trying to keep Owen away from his train. He wants to eat it all. What ever. It's probably nice and hard, mm, mm, good!

Christmas Fun!

We love to make gingerbread houses each year. When I went to buy the kits it was still November and Faith said "let's go home and make them", Owen was thrilled to see the train one. I told her we had to wait until December when it was Christmas time. She said "mom, it is Christmas at our house". Because the decorations were all up she thought it was already Christmas. So cute! Every time I tell her to wait for Christmas (the actual day) she always tells me this "mom, it is Christmas at our house". Silly little lady!
We decided to make our houses at Grandma's house with her one evening and it was a lot of fun. The kids are always so good and so happy when we do projects together. They turned out beautiful! As you can see :)

Cold Winter Days

What to do? What to do? Let's break it all out! When the kids are cooped up in the house it tends to turn into a Children's Museum at our house. Toys everywhere, coloring books and crayons, paint, construction paper, art projects galour. If anyone has any fun idea's for the kids when they are in the house please share them? I am always looking for new, cheap, idea's.

Deck The Halls

It's that time again, how quickly it comes and goes. We had a wonderful time decorating the house together. We did it a little earlier this year, the kids have me so excited. We did it the Sunday-Monday before Thanksgiving. We always do it the weekend after Thanksgiving and it seemed so strange taking down the Thanksgiving decor before it was actually here, any who.... The kids are still to little to do most but what they can do they absolutely love and get so thrilled! Faith is so excited about everything this year and has lots of questions about every little piece of decoration or any story or thing she sees. It is wonderful! Tis the season!

Loves

My kids just adore and love each other, most of the time. I am so lucky this way. Sister will do anything to help Owen when needed and trys all the time to make him happy if he is crying. Owen loves to wake up and see "faif" and wrestle her on the floor (so funny to watch). She lights up his life.
They also LOVE to visit with "papa" and "gwama". Most say that Owen looks a lot like his grandpa Workman. Like most kids, they LOVE their lil family.

Forgetful!

Over the last month I have gone out a few times with the girls and I take my camera but forget to take pictures, duh! Some times I just don't like to think about or worry about it and enjoy the night with out the camera.
Well I did get one shot of me and one of my dearest friends Jill.
Love girls night out!

Star of the Month

Faith was the "star of the month" in November at her little pre-school. She was thrilled about it. She told everyone her favorite colors are pink and green, she loves suckers of all kinds so we took some suckers for all, her favorite book is one that her aunt Vicki gave her for her birthday last August called "Bitsy's Harvest Party" (I had the wonderful opportunity to read it to the class, he he), she shared pictures of the things she enjoys like her lil bro, her horse and cat, spending time with daddy, dancing and gymnastics, and so forth. She also shared one of her favorite dolls she received from Taiwan and explained that she was born in Taiwan and was brought home when she was 6 months old. It was neat to go spend some time with her in her class and watch her face light up when she had the chance to share these things with her friends. So cute!

Choo Choo!

Owen is at that age, LOVES choo choo trains (bet you can't guess what he's getting for Christmas). We told them for months we would go ride the train. We finally did it. It was a first for all of us. The kids LOVED it! We road to grandpa and grandma Workman's home and had dinner with them and then road home. It was a fun night. They talk about it all the time and in the Spring we will try it again and maybe go do some shopping.

Sick!

Well it was our turn. I remember very clearly spending a week or two in my house last year thinking it was the worst and hardest thing in the world. Well it happened again. I suppose as a mother these things will happen yearly (or more, lets hope not). I have learned to just take a time out, sit and cuddle, and love the heck out of my kids. It's all I can do.
Well Owen had the Croup and the Swine Flu over Halloween so dad had to play the Devil and go with our Angel. Faith had a 48 hr Flu for a few days after Halloween and then laid around for two days after.
Thank goodness everyone is up and at it again. I pray we make it through the New Year healthy and happy.
Love my healthy kids!

Fall/Halloween 09

I love this time of year and I can't say it enough. We had a FUN October! I love the beautiful leaf's, the holiday spirit and goodies of course, the smiles on the kids faces as they learn and experience thing's for the first time, the quality family time we have together, everything seems to make sense around this time of year. I feel so happy and blessed to be alive and to be able to share all of this with those I love. I am so blessed! What a beautiful time of year!
