Do you see it?

Some people say he's a lot like his mom, I just don't see it? Do you?

Schools In

This is what the Workman house looks like every night now that school is in, and I kind of like it.

Just something about it.......................

Now that school is in I finally get to have some "me" time, well almost "me and Lea" time, but I don't mind. I have missed running and being outside for SO long. Now with Faith and Owen both in school three of the five days a week I get to go running and exercise for an hr each morning and then actually get ready for the day. SO NICE! The thing's we cherish once we have kids, ha!

I have this fun little jogging path just down the street from me and it is so beautiful! I can't wait for the leaves to start changing. It is quiet long and it is so peaceful and nice in the morning's. I love having this time to think and gather my thoughts and idea's. It seriously makes me so happy and a much better mom. Everyone benefits when I have time for myself each day like this. I feel so much better and the old Mandi is starting to bust through the seems again.

Here or some of the thing's I see on my run:

Big Boy!

Me: "Owen let's take a picture of you outside on the way to school this morning" Owen: "first take one like this, then I will take another one"

My handsome little man started Pre-School at Mrs. Lori's on September 7th. He goes on Tues, Weds, Thurs from 9-11:30 am. It's just down the street from our house and he "loves" it! I was so worried about this little man. He has the hardest time staying in the nursery at church (do you blame him) with out his mom. He loves to go with and be with mom ALL THE TIME! He kept telling me up until his first day that he would miss me and Lea. He was scared. I thought I was going to have to spend some time the first day or two with him. He did SO well! We went, put his bucket on a shelf, washed hands, and joined some of the other kids in the play room on the mat while the teacher played the drums. He was SO into the drums he sat right down and kissed me goodbye and that was it. I was gone! It was amazing! Every day sense he can't wait to go again and he comes home with a big smile on his face and share's all the fun thing's they did with me. He is so cute! I am so glad and relived. At the same time so sad. My little snuggle bug is growing up and it was kind of sad seeing him go. I sure miss him being home with me.

Yard work!

Owen cracks me up! He comes running in the house the other day and had to have a hat like his dad's when working in the yard. Grabs his nice beach hat and puts on his "light up" spider man shoes and head's out the door. He's ready!

What the!?!?!??!?!?!

I'd have to admit, he's still the cutest little boy even when he has one dumbo ear.

It was a beautiful week night and we decided to go for a little hike up the Elephant Rock trail, up Muller Park Canyon. We hiked up for about 30 minutes or so and decided to start heading down before the sunset all the way and we couldn't see. It was so beautiful and so nice out. The kids loved it of course and everyone had a good time.

The next morning Owen's ear was a little red and it seemed he had a little bit on it. Both Owen and Faith had a few bit's from the hike. We kept cream on all their bites all day but as the day went on poor Owen's ear got bigger, and bigger, and bigger. Lindsay and I thought it was going to POP! It was the weirdest thing. Well after 48 hrs it finally went down and went away. It never really itched him but I kept the cream on him the whole time any ways. I don't know what got him but it was a doozy!

Faith Turn's 5!!

This year it's all about ladybug's. Faith is obsessed with ladybug's, she even wants to be one for Halloween. So mom did her best, as she always trys. She had a small family party with a ladybug cake and balloons (everything decorated with red and black). Then she had a fun friend party with everything ladybug too. The cupcakes, the game, the balloons and decorations, the prizes and gift bags, it was all ladybug, so fun!

Faith celebrated with the Workman family on Sunday, then on her actual birthday she celebrated with mom and dad, Owen and Lea, that following Sunday she had another party with the Bott's and it continued into the next week with her "friend" party. She was in Heaven!

A lot of pictures to follow of all the events and then some. It is so hard to believe our baby is 5 years old already and going to school. When she lays next to her baby sister she seems like as giant. Where does the time go? I hope I am giving her all she needs in every way, I don't want to mess this up. We only get one chance right!?!?!?! I love her and adore her so much! She is the sweetest and most kindest little girl ever! She is and always will be the biggest blessing I have ever received in my life! She is my angel and continues to teach me new things every day. Love her much!

Back To School!

Faith will be attending Heritage Elementary this year. She has been excepted into the Chinese Immersion course and there are only four schools in the Davis School District teaching the Chinese Language this year. We had to chose out of those four and this one is the closest as well as the school we spent the last 7 years living by so she has a lot of buddies attending there as well. She is so thrilled!

Had to have a picture of the backpack! Mom forgot to take one on her first day!

Faith and her Chinese Teacher Mrs. Ding. I feel bad because I didn't get one of her English teacher Mrs. Piper, will have to get one later.

First day of school, orientation! Faith sitting at her new desk coloring her first project for the year.

Faith's Chinese class room, lucky girl has two rooms.

The very first "official" day of school. She goes from 8:45 am until 1:30 pm and she gets to have a lunch and a recess, YAY! Her favorite part of the day so far.

The Kindergarten door they line up at every morning for class, girls in one line and boys in another.

A very FUN and exciting WEEK! Faith loves school and is making a lot of new buddies!
