Spending A Day With Faith

Growing Up So Fast!

Faith continues to amaze me each day. About three weeks ago when ever I would drop Faith off at the babysitters and come back to get her a few hours later she would get excited, reach for me, pat me on the back over and over while kicking her legs and hum the word "mama, mama, mama" it has been the cutest thing! It's little things like this that make being a parent SO WORTH IT! It is so comforting to know that Faith now recognizes who her parents are. She is starting to feel more and more comfortable and each night, about an hour before we lay her down, she gets so happy laughing and gibber jabbering on and on. She becomes so playful at night it is the cutest thing to get her laughing out of control. Dad always runs for the camcorder.

Faith has been putting one foot in front of the other as we walk her around the house and can slowly move things across the floor while walking. She will stand against things and as I watch her she will slowly let go with one hand and stand there, she thinks she is such a big girl and I love watching her try and balance and learn new things like this. She will look at me with her big brown eyes as if she is trying to say "look at me mom". She can play "peek a boo" and "patty cake" and I even have her shacking her little bootie when I turn on the music.

Faith is a really good eater and loves to eat like the big people. We usually all sit down and have dinner together and she loves all the different foods I introduce to her. OK, so she wasn't a huge fan of the prunes. I could tell she was trying to gag them down so I stopped that after three days. That was enough and I had, had it with changing her clothes in the middle of each day as well (gotta love that).

Our new thing lately is placing Faith on my shoulders and dancing in front of the mirrors. She laughs and laughs and thinks it is so neat to be so high in the air above mom. She also loves to play "Follow the leader". I will crawl around or do something and she will be right behind me doing it as well. SO CUTE!

Life is good! Faith will be going to visit her Dr. again in a few weeks and I Can't wait to get her new weight and measurements. I will keep you all posted.

Life as a mother is THE BEST!

1st Hair Cut

Faith received her very first hair cut while being home on March 20th, 2007. Her aunt Sonia had the privilege and she was such a good girl (of course). The end result, well, looked just as it did before the hair cut..... BEAUTIFUL!

Moab Easter Egg Hunt

Fun pictures of all the early morning action!

Easter 2007

Faith celebrated her first Easter in Moab with some of her bestest little buddies.

Each year we travel to Moab, Utah for the "Jeep Safari" and spend time with our friends, the Paxman's and their three adorable little kids (Reagan, Renlee & Ryker). We love being able to visit them and they are always so accommodating and fun! Faith will have a special connection for life with Renlee and Ryker who also lived at the St. Lucy's Center in Taiwan for a few months before Rory & Rachel were able to bring them home and into their families. It is so fun to watch them all play together.

We traveled down and stayed at The Paxman's home along with some of our other close friends the Tippett's (they have four adorable children; Konnley, Jaden, Jaciee & Kameron).

We have friends who travel from Colorado come and join in the fun in Moab as well and everyone meets at the Bisco's (Josh, Kali, Tanner & Breahnna) to have a big feast each night and then on Easter Sunday they hold an annual Easter egg hunt for all the kids. It is always so much fun and we love spending time with all of our friends.

Although when we arrived Thursday night and turned in for the night Faith woke in the middle of the night sick as could be and continued this way for our whole stay (until Monday) we tried our best to be apart of things. This was our first experience as parents dealing with a sick baby. It was awful! I felt so bad for her and there wasn't much I could do. She spent most of the time sleeping and laying on mom's lap. She did continue to smile and be her cute little self though (what a trooper). I want to say "THANKS BIG TIME Rachel for helping me and cleaning all the blankets and close over and over again. You are so sweet and such a wonderful host. I am so grateful for your love and support. You are the best!"

It was a bit of an interesting holiday weekend to say the least but we survived, as did poor little Faith and all went well as we traveled. Even when she is sick she is the best little girl in the world!
