Blessings
These pictures are so fitting. She is a true "blessing" in our lives and we feel so much love from our Heavenly Father as he has entrusted us with this precious little girl. We love her so much and the first month has been amazing! Words can not say.
Thank you Heavenly Father for sending us our baby girl, she is perfect!
Quality Time and Bath Time
I love spending time with Faith and being with her. We play in the living room all the time and she loves to crawl all over me. One of Dad's favorite times (and Faith's too) is bath time and dad loves to cuddle her and hold her when she is all wrapped up in her towel.
We just can't get enough of her!
Random Shots
Adjusting & Growing
Faith has been doing extremely well since she has come home to live with Mom and Dad. She stick's pretty much to her schedule each day (eating and sleeping). Most of the time she will sleep through the night going down around 9:30 PM and waking around 8 AM. She is so mellow and I don't know if she is still trying to soak everything in and figure out where she is but she is such a good baby.
We started introducing her to foods after she had been home about a week. She has enjoyed everything we have given her and has not yet rejected anything. She started with rice cereal, then banana's, then sweet potato's and then avocado and she has liked them all. I am amazed all the time, everything we try with her she just kind of does it and trys it. She has not been fussy at all. The only hard adjustment she and I both had was the car seat. She is not a fan. When ever I would put her in the car set to run around town I would have to listen to her cry the whole time. It was awful. It seems though in the last week she is doing much better and will only start crying a bit if she gets hungry or has been in the car seat for to long. Other then that things have gone SO WELL!
We started her on foods and also the second week she started to hold her own bottle and was standing up against furniture. When we picked her up from St. Lucy's she was already laughing, crawling and sitting up on her own. She even had one tooth and during the time we had her in Taiwan she received two more. She is already growing so fast. I walk into her nursery at times and find her standing in her crib. "SLOW DOWN BABY GIRL!" She is defiantly a go getter and is curious and into everything.
1st Doctor's Visit
Faith had been home 10 days and we took her to meet Dr. Foote for the first time. He is so sweet with her and she was such a big girl, mom and dad were proud. Her weight was 14.8 and height 28". Everything looked really good and Dr. Foote said she looks to be in great health.
While in Taiwan picking up Faith the caregivers had given us all of Faith's medical records and instructions and said she had been fully immunized and would not need any more shots until she turns 1 year old. When we visited with Dr. Foote we actually found out that they had completed two of the three immunizations but for some reason they stopped half way through giving her one of them so she needed to have two more shots to complete everything.
They gave her one while at this visit and she will need another when we go back in a few months for her 9 month visit.
It was the saddest thing we had ever seen. She was sitting so cutely (as she does) playing with a little toy and the next thing we knew her little brown eye's closed so tightly and her face went beat red and she started to cry, we had never seen or heard her like this before. It was sad. Mom picked her up and made her feel all better though. It was so hard to watch them do that.
Over all the visit went really well and Faith has been amazing! We can only hope we continue to be so blessed and she continues to grow and be strong and healthy.
Meeting Friends & Family
Once we returned from our amazing trip to Taiwan we were greeted by friends and family. It has been so much fun introducing Faith to all of those who love her and have been loving her from a distance. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera at every home, for every visit and or meeting but I did snap some shots of Faith meeting some of her new friends.
For a straight week after our return we had visitors every day. We took her to meet all of her aunts and uncles and her grandparents and great grandparents. Of course everyone adores her (how can you not). I take her for walks and people stop us, even at the grocery story everyone is curious. I am such a proud mom.
She loves people and especially the little ones. She is a people person and loves playing with other children and having them around her. She is a very curious and active one. Her little eye's are always going back and forth and looking at everything, everywhere. She is trying to take it all in. I wonder all the time what must be going on in her little mind.
Things have been going WONDERFULLY!
