San Diego, CA

We took the kids on a 10 day adventure before school started this year. I know, some may say I am crazy for going just 3 months after having my baby but it was GREAT! The kids did REALLY well most of the time and with so much driving they were fabulous. I would make myself sick thinking about the LONG drive to and from, worrying about the kids, if they would fight, cry, feeding Lea, and stopping all the time. They all did SO well in the car I would do it again and again.
We left on a Saturday morning, drove to Las Vegas and stayed the night. Left for CA the next morning on Sunday and once we got to our hotel and settled in a bit we went out shopping and to dinner. Monday we spent the day at Mission Beach and then went touring at Old Town and went through the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center (it was actually really neat and kids liked it). Tuesday and Wednesday we went to Sea World (you can not do it all in one day, too big, they are even adding on even more. You almost have to get a weeks pass now). They LOVED Shamu and the dolphins. We had a GREAT time at Sea World. Then on Thursday we took a tour of a MASSIVE battle ship located on the pier where all the cruise ships port. It was BIG and had choppers and plains parked on the top. It was really fun and neat to see. Then we headed over to Coronado Beach (the best and most family friendly, beautiful beach in San Diego). It was SO nice and I loved all the beautiful homes on the island. We then went to Sea Port Village to shop and had dinner at the Seafood Market on the pier. By Friday we were pooped! We packed up and headed back to St. George and made it there FINALLY by 10 pm. It was a LONG day. We didn't leave CA until Noon at least. We then stayed with my brother and his beautiful family for two nights and two days. We drove home Sunday morning and even though I had LOADS and LOADS of laundry to do, it was ALL worth it! We had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Faith Loved the beaches SO much and now tells me she wants to be a Marine Biologist (of course) and Owen loved Sea World and collecting Sea Shells. Oh the Memories we have made. Love my little kiddos and I am so thankful for the time we shared together. They still don't understand why dad had to go back to work and why he can't stay home with us every day and play all the time.

Looks and sounds like you had a fun time. Glad you made it there, and back safely.
