9 Mo. Doctor's Visit

Well Faith is growing like a weed and is as healthy as can be. Dr. Foote was so pleased with Faith's progress. She is 75% in her height and just a wee 10% in weight but she's at least hitting the charts and the Dr. Foote says this is "wonderful". He was so pleased with her as she sat very still for him to do all the check's and tests he needed to. Faith once again had to get two shots, it went as well as the last time. A little scream and a few tears but she was smiling once again a few minutes later. The doctor asked me to take Faith into the Davis Hospital to have some blood work done to make sure all was well. When new babies are born they usually prick the heal to do these types of tests but because Faith is a bit older they needed to draw blood and it was not a fun experience at all.

I had to hold her down, along with three other nurses and as the one tried to take her blood, not kidding, we sat there for 3 minutes trying and trying (which seems like an eternity when your little one is crying). The blood was moving VERY slow up the tube and into the syringe and it was taking FOREVER! I couldn't believe it. This was a baby we were dealing with and the girl taking the blood was driving me and Faith NUTS! Once finished it seemed she hardly had enough blood in the syringe so I asked her if she wanted me to wait to make sure. She left the room and then a new girl came back through the doors and said it didn't work, we had to do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor Faith, she know right away when I began to sit back down and started crying again, it was awful. I couldn't hold back the tears myself at this point, it was so sad to hold her and watch her. At least this girl knew what she was doing and it took seconds to get all the blood she needed. WHY IN THE HECK DIDN'T SHE DO IT FOR US THE FIRST TIME. The first girl had moved the needle around so much in little Faith's arm trying to draw blood that the next day her arm was all blue, makes a mom so mad!

Once we returned home and took a picture of our little wrestler baby girl Faith. My champ!
