HOPE'S HOME

Baby Home and Safe House, Lusaka, Zambia, Africa

Since its creation, For Every Child’s commitment to humanitarian efforts that benefit children has been a driving force of the organization. To date, our humanitarian projects have been fully funded by agency funds and small donations from adoptive families. In an effort to control adoption costs in way that supports the lowest costs possible to adoptive families seeking to provide safe, loving homes to orphaned children, For Every Child has donated tens of thousands of dollars to projects in Taiwan, Haiti and the U.S. Projects that support the care and safety of children. We believe that every child, regardless of background history or circumstances deserves to find the permanency of family in their lives.

With the support of a number of Zambian citizens who have worked within the social service departments of the Zambian government and private organizations, For Every Child has been enlisted to assist in the building of a baby home safe house within the “compound” inner city of Lusaka, Zambia. Due to poverty and HIV, many newborns are left abandoned in the front of local churches, in parks, or left to die at home with no food or medical care. The hope of building a safe place for women to leave their infants when they are unable to care for them has been a long time hope of the For Every Child family.

We know that with our support, commitment, hard work and funding we can begin saving the lives of infants in this poverty impacted and HIV stricken area of Africa.
For Every Child continues to serve children and families as we fulfill our mission statement that all children have the right to a loving family, safety, education and the medical care they need.
